ARTHUR AKPOWOWO: THE MISSION TO RESCUE ETHIOPE EAST CONSTITUENCY (PART 1)
The words of the Bishop of the whole world and founder of God’s Grace Ministry, His Holiness, Jesus’ Doctor Daniel Dikeji MiyeriJesu, “Ethiope East people, you are lucky” will best explain the lucky moment for the kingdoms of Agbon, Oruarivie-Abraka and Umiaghwa-Abraka to have Okakuro Arthur Akpowowo, Esq as Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Ethiope East Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly. It is a prayer come true.
Earlier this year, a mammoth crowd of party supporters and other residents thronged Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East LGA to campaign and justify Okakuro Akpowowo’s preference as the party’s candidate. His nomination signifies hope for quality representation to fill a vacuum created by the inactive representation of the APC in the last four years. There is no doubt that the performance of the incumbent APC’s member representing the constituency, Hon Innocent Emosivwe Anidi is below expectation. In unison, it is an abysmal failure to say the least. Anidi has failed everyone.
In the last four years, Ethiope East Constituency has witnessed inadequate representation and nothing has been working well. Infact, it has recorded the least impact from the APC’s representative with zero bill, motion and paucity of projects.
Armed with the rescue mission of Agbon-Ide and Abraka from the APC’s misrepresentation, the PDP projected the capacity Arthur Akpowowo as flag bearer for the DTHA’s race in the March 11 election.
Akpowowo is eminently qualified for the job as an alumnus of the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State where he obtained LL.B (HONS) in 2003 and the Nigerian Law School, Bwari-Abuja with Barrister at Law in 2007. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Environmental and Public health Management of Nigeria (CIEPHAN)
